Special Events Sharing Christ started on Tuesday 6th May. This is an opportunity to learn how to share your faith with others. If you are interested in joining this 6-week course (Tuesdays 8-9.30pm) in the Church centre, speak to Charlie Ward for more information. Parents Together next meets on Monday 12th May (8.00 - 9.30pm) in the Church Centre. Ian Lewis has kindly agreed to speak on "The Role of Discipline in Raising our Children", an area that several parents felt would be helpful to explore. Do let me know if you are planning to come (refreshments included) and whether you would like me to help you find a babysitter so you can both attend. Men's Breakfast takes place on Saturday 17th May from 8.30 to 10am. Tim Partridge will speak about his life and faith after the continental-style breakfast. Please contact the Church Office by Thursday 15th May, if you plan to come. Friends are very welcome. Families Together play Crazy Golf on Saturday 17th May. Meeting at 10.15am for a 10.30am start, at the mini-golf area of Victoria Park. Movie Matters this Saturday 17th May will be a Certificate 12A film, starting at 7.30pm in the Church Centre. Word in Action - William Taylor (Rector of St Helen's, Bishopsgate, London) will be speaking on Matthew 9 & 10 under the title 'Understanding the Times' over four consecutive Thursday evenings in May (1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd). The talks will be held at Widcombe Baptist Church. Further details to follow. WOMAN TO WOMAN is a new group that will meet fortnightly. The aim is to have some time together to pray and learn about issues that affect us as women, from a biblical perspective. We plan to explore the essence of the group at this early stage before the summer break. As a starting point, we plan to use material from the DVD and booklet “God’s Design for Women” by Sharon James. During this initial period we will meet on four Thursday mornings (1st & 15th May; 12th & 26th June) from 10.45 until 12.00, with a ‘taster’ on Tuesday 13th May for those unable to make a Thursday. We have yet to select a meeting day for the autumn, so you may be able to suggest a preferred weekday. Please refer to the invitation card for further details or contact Jenny Singh (jenny@stbartsbath.org) or Anne Allen for more information. Do all religions lead to Christ? Dr Chris Wright from the Langham Partnership will be speaking at St John's, Yeovil, on Tuesday 13th May. More details from the leaflet at the back of church. Church Weekend at Home on 14th & 15th June. Opportunity to learn and have fun together. Book the date now. More information to follow. Life? The St. Bart’s mission week with Roger Carswell takes place from 29th September to 5th October. Who will you invite? Who will you pray for? Why not join with two or three other members of St. Bart’s to pray together between now and the mission week? Speak to any member of the staff if you want to know more about Prayer Cells.
