Values & Vision

Our Values:

Biblical teaching – we recognise the Bible as God’s Word and our authority in all matters and as such we see ourselves in partnership with other Churches that are “Reformed” theologically.  By God’s grace we seek to teach the Bible faithfully and relevantly, applying it to our lives, to prepare people for service and ministry in the church.  We seek to train and equip individuals for current and future Gospel ministry.

Prayer – we believe prayer is an expression of our dependence on God and an absolute necessity in the life of the church.  As a response to God’s grace, we are committed to praying regularly both collectively and individually.

Mission – reaching out with the good news of Jesus is a priority for us as a church.  We encourage a compassion for the lost, and seek, by God’s grace, to bring the gospel to those around us, in Bath and throughout the world.  We want to equip the church to live for Christ and to share our faith better.

Discipleship – as a response to God’s grace, we encourage one another to grow in personal love and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, expressed in transformed and distinctive lives in the world.

Fellowship – we want to be a church family in which all ages and nationalities are welcomed and where we genuinely love and support each other.  We’re particularly concerned to take care of the most needy – the young, the old, the sick and the isolated.  By God’s grace, we want to encourage and equip each church member to play a full part in serving the church.

Meeting together – we believe in the importance of meeting together to spur one another on to love and good deeds.  By God’s grace, we intend all aspects of our services to be faithful to God’s Word and accessible to newcomers, with a variety of styles of music and presentation.

Our Vision:

Growing Individuals  - Seeing individuals saved, growing to maturity in Christ and serving as believers

Growing the Church  - Seeing the church grow numerically and in its community life where every member is a disciple-making disciple

Growing our impact for Jesus in the World - Seeing the World impacted for Jesus – including the parish, the city, the nation and the wider World
