Students

We warmly welcome new and returning students every academic year. Here's a video about why our students love St Bart's!

We use our Facebook group to update each other on what is happening throughout the year. Please do join the group!

Our student team is led by Charlie Ward (Assistant Minister).

Hello!
We hope that your time studying in Bath will be enriched by both involvement in your university Christian Union, but also at a local church. Students are fully involved and integrated in our St Bart's Oldfield and St Bart's Riverside congregations, as well as our 6.30pm evening service.

In addition, we offer some regular student specific activities (listed below) plus a residential ‘Getaway Weekend’ and post exam residential ‘Discipleship Week’.
During Church Search - the first few weeks of term - we offer transport to and from the Bath University and Bath Spa campuses.

Focus
This is our main student discipleship programme. Focus happens on Tuesday evenings, from 7.30pm - 9.30pm in the Church Centre during term time. We enjoy tea and great cakes together, look at the Bible in small groups, hear talks about living for Jesus at university, and pray for each other.  It’s an excellent way to get to know others at church and grow in your relationship with God.

Student Lunch
Student Lunch is served at King Edward Road after our morning services. Students from all our congregations meet to enjoy good food for the stomach and soul! Check the Facebook group for details.

International Students

We welcome international students to St Bart's, and we encourage Christian international students to join InFocus - a community to meet together to pray, hear God speak through the Bible & think about what it means to live for Jesus at uni and back in our home contexts. We join the main Focus event from 7:30pm on Tuesday evenings. We have meals together when possible. We also host an international café on Friday nights from 7.30pm-9.30pm during term times.  www.instagram.com/bathic_stbarts/  / www.facebook.com/stbinternationalcafe or email Frances: frances@stbartsbath.org

One to Ones
Many students have found it really helpful to meet up with an older Christian to read the Bible and pray together.  We encourage all students to consider being in a one-to-one.
